Lyles holds the record 300 meters for the best indoor in the world with a time of 31.87 seconds at the 2017 US Indoor Championship. He won the 200-meter gold medal at the 2014 Young Olympic Games in Nanjing, China. He won the gold medal in the 100m and 4 × 100m relay event at the 2016 U20 World Championship in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He won the gold medal in the 200 meter and 4 x 100 meter relay event at the 2019 World Athletic Championships in Doha. Besides being a world-class sprinter, Lyles also made a name for herself as a rapper and released several singles.
